RP HELP

From new to experienced roleplayers, best practices are to stay in character at all times, keep things as immersive as possible and be a positive addition to the community! Here are some common terms you might hear from players in game and what they mean:

The Storm/Tsunami – Refers to server resets to help keep things running smoothly. Happens here at 4am/pm ET. You will see written warnings as the time draws closer in the chat box. You will be logged out if you haven’t done so by that time. They don’t take long though and you can log back in a few minutes or so afterward.

Headache – A term used when you are having connection issues, are lagging, things don’t look right, etc

Take a Nap – A term used when you or someone needs to log out and back in.

Scuffed – A term used when your character or vehicle is not working right. Logging out and back in will often fix this.

Pockets – Refers to your inventory. If you hear someone say, “My pockets are full” They mean their personal inventory is full and can’t hold anything else.

In my eyes – Refers to what the person is seeing that might be different from what you see. An example of this could be a mechanic has just fixed your car and might ask you how it looks in your eyes to make sure you see a fixed vehicle.

How to go afk properly – Stay in character. If you need to afk, be creative! You can use some thing simple like saying you need to meditate for a while and emote yoga or meditation. A little more involved example could be to pull out your phone and say, “I just lost first place in my Flappy bird game! This will take my full concentration to get back!” Walk away some and emote playing on your phone.

Terminology for helping with Keybinds/Actions– You can always use the keybind overlay in the F2 menu, but if you ask someone how to do a certain action or they ask you, don’t just say the name of the keybind/action. For example, if someone asks how to unlock a car, (U) a phrase you can use would be something like this: “YOU know, YOU can just click the button YOU have on your keychain.”

There are other terms people might use you may not be familiar with or understand right away, just be patient and RP it out best you can!
